Going through a reputable breeder also means that you have less to worry on the conditions of how the Chihuahua puppy was bred, and what illnesses or genetic diseases it might have. The Chihuahua breeder will have all the information that you need.

It is also very interesting to note that going to a reputed breeder has far more advantages that those listed above. For example you would be able to get free advice from your breeder regarding how to take care of your Chihuahua, and in case you own a teacup Chihuahua, then you can also get help on how to take care of such a fragile dog.

And as long as you know that your teacup Chihuahua is not a different breed of Chihuahua but only a smaller version, you (and your Chihuahua) will get along famously.
